The CTruk Story
In 2010, CTruk’s founding team set out to create a versatile new type of offshore wind farm support boat that would become the benchmark in this growing sector. The CTruk MPC19 was born later that same year, shortly followed by a second vessel, CTruk Alliance, in October 2011. This pioneering catamaran featured CTruk’s patented flexible deck pod system and was built using vacuum resin infusion composite - two innovative approaches to design and construction that have helped make today’s 30-strong fleet safer, faster, better and more cost-effective.

Innovation in design and build
CTruk’s success is based on an innovative approach to design and build. It follows from the application of our motto: better, safer, faster, more cost-effective; and it follows from our quest for pioneering solutions, tailored specifically to the challenges of our clients.
Our patented interchangeable deck pod system is just one of these solutions. Developed to address a need for versatility in the offshore wind farm support sector, this breakthrough technology enables operators to change a vessel’s layout to suit different tasks within a matter of hours. Operating experience in the field is also fed directly back into the design of our vessels, enabling a dynamic cycle of input and innovation that keeps our approach fresh and relevant.
Today, CTruk remains the only UK-based company specialising in composite vessels for the wind farm sector. In addition to making our boats up to 40% lighter, our cutting-edge vacuum infusion process and modular techniques produce smoother, more efficient hull shapes than those of aluminium workboats – which means better fuel efficiency and reduced build times.
