Putting something back

CTruk is a big investor in the community - not just through the generation of career opportunities, but through its patronage of social initiatives and its support of local sportsmen and women. We are proud that our commercial success has been achieved in collaboration with the people of Brightlingsea’s coastal communities and we remain committed to giving something back. Please direct any enquiries to kelly@ctruk.com.

Team WhiteBoniface

Having competed together at youth level, winning ISAF Youth bronze and silver at the SL16 World Championships, Brightlingsea duo, Rupert White and Nikki Boniface, set out to qualify for the 2016 Olympics in Rio. The pair aimed for the Nacra 17 mixed multihull class and we boosted their Rio quest with a two-year sponsorship package from 2013 to 2015..

Brightlingsea Coastal Rowing Club

Brightlingsea Brightlingsea Coastal Rowing Club was formed in April 2011 by a small group of enthusiasts. It offers a vibrant calendar of events, from local sessions in Brightlingsea to creek trips on the River Colne and adventures further afield. The club also participates in race events throughout the year. We supplied two new road trailers in 2012 to help transport their Pioneer Sailing Trust gigs.

Brightlingsea young sailors

CTruk was happy to provide rash vests for a group of local youngsters that meets under the watchful eye of Brightlingsea Sailing Club veterans. The initiative enables those involved to gain experience on the water after completion of their RYA tuition.

Motor Neurone Disease Association

Motor Neurone Disease Association logoThe chief naval architect involved in the initial design of the CWhisper SWATH tragically lost his battle with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) before the vessel was launched. There is no effective treatment and no cure for this fatal disease and the MND Association is the only national body in England, Wales and Northern Ireland that funds global research and provides support for those affected by it.

We are proud to work with the MND Association and have pledged to make a donation every time one of these groundbreaking vessels is sold. If you can help, please visit our ‘Just giving’ page to make a donation.
